2007年3月14日，早晨法王出席了一場為尊貴的達賴喇嘛啟建的長壽法會。於達蘭沙拉大昭寺舉行的長壽法會是由薩迦崔欽法王所帶領。各傳承領袖如噶舉、寧瑪、薩迦、格魯及所有西藏官員，全體一致地請求達賴尊者的長久住世。午餐之後，法王噶瑪巴返回住處。

On March 14, 2007, His Holiness Sakya Trizen Rinpoche headed a long life offering to His Holiness Dalai Lama at Thegchen Chöeling Monastery at McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala. All the heads of lineage Kagyu, Nyigma, Sakya, Gelug and Bhön unanimously requested His Holiness Dalai Lama’s long life, along with all the Tibetan officials ex and present. Afterwards His Holiness had lunch with His Holiness Dalai Lama at his palace.
