5月中，法王參加噶丹頗章(Gaden Phodrang)政府360週年年終慶祝大會。
尊貴的達賴喇嘛在達蘭沙拉他的主寺中，正式主持此一慶典。參與者包括宗教領袖、政府官員、僧眾和大眾。
噶丹頗章政府是於1642年第五世達賴喇嘛洛桑嘉措(Lobsang Gytso)掌控西藏政權時成立的。
In May, His Holiness engaged in intensive studies and practice and curtailed his interview schedule. He resumed public interviews at the end of the month.
