According to the wishes of all the lamas, monks, and lay community of Tsurphu Monastery, as well as the Karma Kamtsang monasteries of upper, middle, and lower Tibet, the Karmapa was enthroned in an elaborate ceremony at Tsurphu Monastery, the main seat of all the Gyalwang Karmapas, on the auspicious day of September 27th, 1992.
1992年9月27日，尊貴的第十七世大寶法王噶瑪巴在吐龍谷楚布寺正式陞座。楚布寺是從十二世紀以來所有法王噶瑪巴的主寺。

In the beginning of the ceremony, H.H. received the certificate from the China government. He is the first Living Buddha confirmed by Beijing.(See the following videos)
在舉行傳統儀式之前，法王接受了北京宗教局的認證公文。他是中共官方认可的第一位转世活佛（见视频）。

ཁྲི་ལ་ཕེབས་པའི་ཉིན། སྦུག་ཐམ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་དང་གནས་ཆུང་གི་ལུང་བསྟན། དེ་བཞིན་གོང་མ་བཅུ་དྲུག་པ་མཆོག་གི་མདའ་ཁའི་ཞལ་ཆེམས་བཅས་སྤྱན་གཟིགས་སུ་འབུལ།
The sacred letter of prediction, the Buktham Rinpoche, and the prediction of the Nechung Oracle were offered to the XVIIth Gyalwang Karmapa during the enthronement ceremony.
隨後，傳統的陞座大典正式開始。法王坐在寶座上，大司徒仁波切獻上十六世噶玛巴的轉世預言信的複印本，和達賴喇嘛的內官印函（認證寶函），和达赖信奉的乃瓊神諭的預言。
